Sabal Trace Golf & Country Club
5446 Greenwood Avenue (enter from Tamiami Trail) • 941.426.2804
Sabal Trace was built in 1972 (Charles Ankrom) and features a combination of gently rolling terrain framed in true Florida style by mature palm and pine trees. The layout flows beautifully among pristine lakes and meandering canals. Native birds and wildlife are abundant in this preserved setting.
The course offers four sets of tees that provide all golfers the opportunity to score well. The fairway landing areas are generous, although lateral water hazards can come into play on nearly every hole for poorly executed shots. The receptive Bermuda greens are medium-sized and offer players the opportunity to play a variety of approach shots depending on the approach angle.
Locals have long considered Sabal Trace to be one of the most enjoyable courses in the area to play!
